When is the optimal season for hiking?
April and October are the most popular months for hiking the Langtang trek, therefore these are the best seasons to go. Peak hiking months are March through April and October through November. June through August are the wettest and most uncomfortable months for hiking. It rains frequently, pathways and roads get quite muddy, many guesthouses close during the off-season, and there are many leeches at lower elevations.
